fonts-jsmath software package provides TeX fonts to display jsMath pages, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-jsmath
fonts-jsmath is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-jsmath package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-jsmath *
You will get with fonts-jsmath package name, version, architecture and description in a table
